Besides
the work with fishes, I am since my childhood aquarium hobbyist and keep fishes
of temperate regions (for detail see in the Fishes folder). Sometimes, also
fishes from tropical areas catch my interest, like Southeast Asian loaches or
South American Dwarf cichlids. In much smaller intensity but constantly I keep
some invertebrates like spiders, crustaceans or insects. Keeping and collecting
of freshwater snails, mainly European Prosobranchia, is another point of
interest of mine. If possible I like to
go out for hiking or mountainbiking, and even though I find few chance for
driving, I still keep my old motorbike and call myself its driver.
